The Council is Convening: Fantasy Beta Reader Applications are Open!

The wait is over. The heavy oak doors to the Council Chambers are officially unlatched, and I am looking for a select group of readers to step inside.
As I’ve mentioned, my stories are built on the bones of detailed world-building and morally grey characters. They are designed for the readers who want the emotional weight of a domestic suspense novel with the soaring stakes of a fantasy epic—all while keeping the spice levels at a flat zero.
Now, I need your eyes, your brains, and perhaps your most brutal honesty.
What am I looking for in my beta readers, fantasy lovers and...?
I am seeking readers who adore the "smart best friend" tone and have a wicked eye for detail. You don't need to be a professional editor; you just need to be a fan of the genre who knows when a character’s motive feels "off" or when a mythical creature’s attitude hits just the right note.
I’m looking for fantasy beta readers who:
Love complex, layered emotional stakes.
Appreciate a story where the tension comes from a sharpened wit rather than a bedroom scene.
Aren't afraid to tell me if a plot twist made them scream—or if it fell flat.
What’s in it for you?
Being a beta reader isn't just about finding typos (though I certainly won’t complain if you spot one!). It’s about being part of the foundation.
As a member of this first "Council," you’ll get early access to the manuscript, a peek behind the curtain of my writing process, and a permanent place in my heart (and the acknowledgements page, naturally).
How to Apply
The process is simple. I’ve set up a dedicated page right here on the new site. There’s a short form to fill out—nothing too daunting, I promise—just enough for me to get a feel for your reading tastes and what you love most about the fantastical.
Applications will remain open until 1st February 2026, but I’ll cap the number to keep our discussions intimate and manageable.
Don’t wait too long—the goblins are already trying to draft their own applications, and their handwriting is atrocious.
Are you ready to help me shape this world? I can’t wait to see who joins us.
