Popcorn at the Movies CAL 2021

Hey hey I am over the moon at what wonderful shawls were created in the recent Spring Shawl KAL that I got straight into the zone for a Crochet Along shawl.

I came up with the idea for this shawl while chilling out of an evening sharing gaint bowls of pop corn with the family. We can't go out right now so we make the most of staying in.

So here are all the main details for the Popcorn at the Movies Shawl CAL. All the links to each part of the CAL are listed below, with dates.

Join the Popcorn at the Movies CAL with Babs Rudlin to crochet through the spring of 2021 and into the warmer months!

This time around there are plenty of video tutorials for each type of stitch which will be linked to at the relevant time.

This is a fun textured shawl in three colours to emphasise the 3D nature of the film strip sections.

What is the Popcorn at the Movies CAL with Babs Rudlin? The Popcorn at the Movies Crochet Along with Babs Rudlin 2021 is a FREE and super fun online event held in the spring for knitters.

A crochet along is when a group of crocheters get together to work on the same project at the same time. In this case we will have one crochet pattern using textures and stripes with a gradual colour change.

I hope to see you and crochet along as we say hello to the warmer months of 2021.

The instructions will be released on the babsgetscrafty.com site in 5 parts, links will be added below as the parts go live, and the group support will be run through the Yarn Jugglers group.

Sharing is Caring

Sharing is caring in everything that we do in our world of yarn. The more you share this event (and others) online, the more people visit the site and you help support me. That is how designers get noticed and it helps to grow reputation for the blogs you enjoy.

I've created some images if you want to use them, all shown below in both original and alternate colourways, to share info about the CAL with others. Instagram, facebook and stories sized graphics are ready for you to use.

As we all work through the Popcorn at the Movies CAL I ask that you use our hashtag to share and make a great gallery of what you are working on.
