The Thread and the Throne: Why I’m Trading My Needle for a Narrative

I’ve always loved the way a single thread can create something out of nothing. But lately, I’ve been spinning a different kind of yarn. If you’ve been following the craft updates here, you know I’m a sucker for detail and a bit of a perfectionist. Well, those details have started breathing. They’ve grown wings, sharpened their claws, and demanded a story of their own.
I’m thrilled (and a little bit terrified) to finally share that I’m diving headfirst into the world of atmospheric, low-spice fantasy. Why fantasy? Because I’ve always been obsessed with the "what ifs." What if the hero isn’t actually a hero? What if the forest behind your house is hiding a court of morally grey fae with a wicked sense of humour? I wanted to read stories that felt like a sharp, snappy conversation—the kind that keeps you up at night with tension, not because of "spice," but because the emotional stakes are so high you can’t look away.
What to Expect: If you’re here for the crafts, don’t panic. My hands are still busy! But this space is growing. From now on, expect:
Detailed Worldbuilding: Flowery descriptions of worlds you’ll want to move into (even if they are a bit dangerous).
Morally Grey Characters: The complex, messy, and deeply layered people I love to write.
Mythical Creatures & Snark: Because if a dragon doesn’t have a dry sense of humour, what’s the point?
Zero Spice: All the tension, none of the smut. Pure, gripping storytelling.
I don’t want to go into this dark forest alone. I’ve been working on something special—a little "taste" of the world I'm building.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Whether we’re talking about a perfect stitch or a perfect plot twist, I’m so glad you’re here. Are you a fan of a good anti-hero, or do you prefer your mythical creatures with a bit of a bite? Let’s chat in the comments.
